9/21/2007 - Busy Friday in the Borough
Around 05:30 hours, the PFD was
alerted for the first call of the day at 300 West High
St, The Chester County Housing Authority, for a fire
alarm which ended up being burnt eggs. Around 09:00
hours, Station 65 and MICU 67 responded for a Cardiac
Arrest at the Golden Living Center and again around
10:00 hours for an Accident with Injuries at Nutt Rd and
4th Ave.
Around 15:30 hours MICU 67 was alerted
for a injured person from a fall off a roof in the 200
block of Gay St. Ladder 65 was added to the call to
assist and Station 66 was dispatched to establish an LZ
for a medical helicopter at Friendship Field. While
operating on the scene at the fall on Gay St, crews were
advised by a civilian that there was a car fire around
the corner at 1st Ave and Lincoln Ave. Ladder 65 quickly
cleared and responded to the well involved vehicle fire
with Captain 67. Engine 65 and Engine 67 arrived soon
after and crews stretched Engine 65's trash line to make
a quick knock of the fire. FM 101 investigated the fire
which was not suspicious and the PFD units cleared
shortly after.
