West End units Engine 67-1 and Rescue 67 assisted Montgomery County Fire Companies on the scene of Building Fire at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Upper Providence Twp. Units operated for approx 1 hour for the report of a smoke condition on the upper floors of the Hotel. It was found that a motor on an air conditioning unit on the roof had shorted out causing the smoke condition. Firefighters isolated the power to the unit and evacuated the smoke from the building and all units cleared shortly afterwards. No Injuries were reported.
