The PFD was dispatched with Tower 61 and Engine 68 for a dwelling fire on Washington Ave at 0158 hrs. CHIEF 65 (Gable) arrived on location and reported a 3 story twin with heavy fire throughout. Additional alarm assignments were requested and crews went in-service with multiple handlines. A search of the building discovered a victim in the residence who did not survive. Extensive overhaul was preformed and the fire was under control at 0316 hrs and the units cleared by 0830. The cause is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshalls Office. The PFD wishes to extend its deepest sympathy to the family of the victim who was lost in this fire.
